I feel challenged now to see if there might be a way to work with those larger candy canes. Just because my mind couldn't figure it out one day doesn't mean that I won't get inspired on another day. Maybe I just need to think in a bigger scale. We'll see how many are left on the tree after Christmas.
Marla suggested that I make a candy cane dress, and since I had also had that thought flit across my mind, I had to do it! The large candy canes turned out to not be much fun to work with, but the little ones were just right. I really love the old-fashioned feel of this lovely ballgown! I'd wear it and be full of Christmas cheer -- especially with that big foofy skirt! *grin*

Denise FeltI took this challenge in the hopes of expanding my creativity as an artist. Already I'm seeing art in a new light -- as something to do for fun and not just practicality! Archives
