My daughter Nadine loves this color palette and decorates with it every chance she gets. I took advantage of her silk flowers being packed in a box to create this dress. Once she sees them, she'll sweep them away to go decorate something in our new house! For now they make a beautiful wrap style gown with an overskirt layered over a leafy underskirt. Such a romantic dress! Now I just need a handsome man on my arm to set it off. *grin* Thanks, Nadine!

I love signature art! It's just so cool! This dress requires you to use your imagination a bit. Picture a ruffled collar, puffed upper sleeves on a form-fitting Victorian jacket, and a wide peplum. That takes care of my last name. The narrow skirt has an enormous ruffle at the bottom to balance the frills of the jacket. And that takes care of my first name. Can you picture the outfit? I would so wear this ensemble! I think Victorian clothing is fabulous (which is perhaps why I enjoy the Steampunk revolution so much!)
My daughter-in-law Breana asked me to do a dress made from Fruity Pebbles, so I picked some up at the store. Because it's a gluten free cereal, my daughter and granddaughters can eat it, so they're very pleased that their aunt suggested it! This gorgeous confetti patterned gown is perfect for a summer gala with its one shoulder, slim fit, and train. What a statement it makes! Ooo-la-la! Thanks, Bre, for this great dress idea!
It's good to be moved into our new home! I can finally catch up on getting my daily dresses uploaded. Hopefully there won't be any huge demands for my time for a while. I much prefer to put the dresses up as I do them! I looked up the symbol for dress in Chinese and the character in black is what I found. It's a really cool symbol and I probably haven't drawn it perfectly, but it was just right for the dress design I wanted to make. If it looks a bit like a closet with an evening gown and shoes displayed, that's because it is. Such a pretty gown, with an attractive bodice and a pleated empire skirt with front slit. I'd really wow them all in this dress!
My granddaughter made a dress out of her markers recently and wanted me to do the same. This is the dress I came up with out of her markers. Lots of color and a full and pretty skirt. I was quite pleased with the result. This would be a fun dress to wear on a sunny day. Now if I can just make one to wear! *grin*
My most wonderful, dear, and delightful daughter bought me a treat today. My favorite chocolate: Turtles! The saddest part about getting a box of Turtles is that it is too soon empty, and so it happened today. So I decided to take that sorrow and turn it into something good by making a dress for the day from the box. I wanted to highlight the fun little tuxedoed turtle, so I did a wrap bodice with him. The trim skirt has the red and gold together that makes the box so distinctive, and the sleeves are the small flaps that finished off the lid. Such a lovely dress! And full of yummy memories! *grin* Thanks, Nadine!
As ballgowns go, this one is one of my favorites. Done in a metallic lavender knit with ruby accessories, this off-the-shoulder gown is a real head-turner. This design is the last of the ones James asked me to do for him. It has been such fun being a part of his imagined world, Stehreel, that I shall miss it. Studying the cultures of his elven races has given me lots of new ideas. I hope I get the chance to implement some of them in my own clothes someday.
I love this outfit! Its ultra-modern lines and cropped jacket speak to my minimalist tastes. Done in a silver knit, the sheath dress is worn with a short stylish navy blue jacket and kickin' navy leather boots, sending out the signal that this elf is all about business -- until she's all about play! *grin*
James' mountain elves are an ultra-modern civilization, utilizing advanced technologies. Their shimmery, almost metallic clothing reflects this way of thinking -- even for loungewear. This elf models a comfortable negligee in silver chiffon with a leaf bodice and floral clasp. For jewelry a simple floral bracelet will suffice. The mountain elves look most like humans with their peach skin, reddish hair, and blue eyes.
This was a fun outfit to make for my oldest granddaughter. The top is black knit with ruffles down the front to the waistline. It has a mandarin collar with single button closure. The skirt is a black silky satin cityscape print with a ruffle. She loves the feel of it and how it twirls around her. Both very important elements to a young girl. She can't wait to wear it somewhere special, so we're going to have to take her out on the town so she can show it off. Any suggestions?
