I haven't written any poetry for awhile, so I wanted to try my hand at it today. Didn't this dress turn out awesome? So confident! So feminine! So sexy! Go, girl, and conquer your world!

Feeling sick today, so nothing sounded good but fruit. With some cajoling from my granddaughter, I played with my peaches and made a really cool evening gown. This dress is more my daughter's style, since her figure can carry off all that shirring better than mine. But the dress was beautiful anyway, and I'm glad I made it. She said she'd wear it!
I love Chinese food! This Beef and Broccoli lunch made a really fancy dress as well as a delicious meal. I should always play with my food! It makes it taste better! *grin* I love the plunging neckline and the foofy rice 'lace' showing at the hemline. Such a great color combination for my complexion! This would be a fun dress to wear!
My daughter makes the best granola in the world! It's gluten free, dairy free, and diabetic friendly. And it's delicious too! A total YUM all around! It also makes for a very pretty dress. For those wanting her recipe, here it is:
1 1/3 C Domata living flour 1 C Xylitol 1 t. ground nutmeg 2 t. ground cinnamon 4 C crushed fruit juice sweetened gluten-free corn flakes 3/4 C vegan butter, softened chopped pecans sliced almonds shredded unsweetened coconut dried unsweetened tart cherries Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixing bowl, combine flour, xylitol, and spices. Place corn flakes into a gallon size ziploc bag and crush with rolling pin. Add crushed corn flakes to the mix. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add nuts and coconut. Pour into 9 x 13" pan or stone and bake 18-20 minutes. Once removed from oven, stir and let cool. Add cherries and mix. Can serve warm with Rice Dream ice cream or serve cool with Rice Dream original rice milk. There was just a bit of black beans leftover today, so I had them for a snack. However, first I played with them! I made the beans into a full skirt and added a fun cheddar cheese wrap bodice. It still looked a little plain, so I then added some shredded cheese to the skirt. Perfecto! (And yummy too!)
This sweet summer dress in a really awesome green should have been easy to do. After all, it's just parsley flakes right? You wouldn't believe how hard it was to get those guys to lie still! They definitely had a mind of their own. But the end result was worth the hassle. This is a dress I'd wear happily all summer long!
I designed this dress for a night at the opera. I have this gorgeous olive and maroon brocade with metallic threads that has a great drape to it. It's just the right weight for the skirt while still being stiff enough for the cropped jacket. The entire look is finished off with a velvet camisole and a fur collar on the jacket. It's perfect for a cold winter's evening while still versatile enough to handle a packed house. Now all I have to do is get it made up before the season starts!
I really love the boldness of red. The problem is, most red dresses are sleazy and that's not an image I want to create when I go out on the town. This dress takes care of all that. It's completely modest. No skin showing from head to toe. But it is one sexy dress in spite of that! (Well, as long as you have the figure to show it off properly!)
It's been interesting for me to finally show some of my sketches on this blog. For a long time I wouldn't, since I'm not that great of an artist when it comes to drawing the human figure so I use templates a lot. But I decided eventually that it doesn't matter that I use templates. What's important is the design of the dress! *grin* Moira gave me the idea to make a poptart dress. I made this one out of a S'mores poptart. It's one of my favorite silhouettes: mock T collar, sleeveless, figure-hugging, and short! I love it! Note how the filling acts as piping for a cute little side pocket. This would be such a fun dress to wear. Thanks, Moira, for a great dress idea!
This totally awesome dress was so much fun to make! First I collected several empty egg cartons, then I cut out each of the egg carriers and sliced them so that they made four petals, rounding the edges. My next step was to lay them all out on the floor in a pleasing dress design. I wanted a long slender summer gown. Once I photographed the egg carton flower dress, I brought it into my Picasa program and played around. I used several different edits, ending with the neon edit that allowed the flowers to glow with fire on the edges. I really love the result!
