Surreal Dress
I was playing around in Photoshop today for my new online college class and realized that I now knew how to make the surreal picture I'd wanted to make for so long for this challenge. I have this photo of a Victorian gown that's a beautiful design, but done in mourning colors of black and grey. I also have this gorgeous abstract art that I absolutely love and wish I knew who the artist was. I've wanted to blend them together for a long time, and today was finally the day I could do it. Here's the result. To me, this is how it feels to come out of mourning. The colors in the world around you become vibrant again and almost seem to seep into you, making you accept them (and life) again. I call it "Resurgence." Feel free to print it out for your wall or download it to your desktop. Just remember that I don't own the artwork I used to make this, so it's not marketable.
